A Voluntary Appeal File (VAF) assigns a unique PIN that speeds future NICS checks for individuals who have been wrongly flagged. ATF-EFT Fingerprinting for NFA Items
ATF electronic fingerprint files for NFA Form 4 and Form 1 applications — suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), and gun trusts.
